^Before                                                        After> This room had too much red,  but instead of using a less intense shade, we reduced the amount of red by painting two walls a nice khaki color.  We took the red up the full height of the wall to emphasize the dramatic ceiling. A working desk was moved to another room and replaced with a game table and four very comfortable leopard print chairs.  The owners report that it is a new favorite and gets heavy use all day.  Note that we changed the brick color on the fireplace.

<Before                                                             After> This 16' fireplace lacked real presense, so we gave it some. The faux painting was substainial enough to stand on its own until the young owner could find (and afford) just the right piece of art. Makeovers can also include furniture.  This heirloom bed had been in the family for years, but it was only a full size and the owner needed a queen size.  Not able to bear the thought of getting rid of  such a lovely headboard,we came up with the idea to extend it with a fabric frame that ties into the colors of custom bed spread.  The owners are delighted with their one-of-a-kind headboard.
