Kitchen and Bath

An abundance of natural light bathes the soft blue and cream color scheme, making this spacious bathroom a tranquil oasis for guests. Custom runners were used instead of bathmats because of the unusual length of the room. They also give an added graciousness. |

This traditional home now has a well edited, easier to take care of kitchen. This photo was not staged; notice that now all the visual clutter is gone, the owners have been inspired to keep the counters less cluttered since the redo. They say that the 'new' kitchen is calmer and more relaxing. Better design translates into better living. |
^Before After> Countertops with grout lines always present cleaning problems; new quartz counters eliminate them. A larger, deeper sink makes washing big pots easy. The beautiful three dimensional accent tile adds a touch of elegance t0 the sink area. |

This master bathroom went from frumpy to sleek and sexy with quartz counters, new lights and rich woods. The tile detail on the soffit matches the one in the shower which is shown below. |
![]() ^Before After> From boring to sophisticated, this shower is now a show piece. The soft porcelain tile is counterpointed with three strips of flashy glass tiles. A new frameless glass door opens the space up visually and eliminates the hard to clean track of the old system. New grab bars and easy entry make this bathroom perfect for the home owners who plan to follow the new architectural trend and 'age in place' |

![]() ^Before After> This 1940s Terrell Hills house had a dated 1980s kitchen. We got rid of the stenciled heart border and the country red cabinets and replaced that dated look with one that is much richer. Quartz counters are a big improvement over tile counters in both function and sanitation. The beautiful mosaic is a combination of natural stone and three colors of glass.

![]() < After Before^ The tile border here matches the tile detail behind the range in the previous photo. Since the cabinets were structurally good, they were faux painted as a cost effective alternative to replacing them. |

The large, dated Jacuzzi tub had several issues
including being a water waster. We replaced it with a spacious
and luxurious shower. The rimless glass wall and door help the
small room seen larger, as does the softer color palette. Carrara
marble counter tops add to the luxury feel of the fresh new master retreat. |

![]() <After ^Before The overpowering pink in this hall bath had to go! We softened the colors for a more restful restroom. The new tile floor eliminated the harsh grid pattern that had been there. Soft yellow is a good choice for small, windowless rooms. All photos on this website were taken by Paula. They are unretouched, as you can see by the fact that she is sometimes reflected in the mirrors. |

^Before After> When these clients called they were considering $6,000 worth of granite countertops. We quickly realized that we could get more visual impact by tiling the backsplash. We used the $5,000+ savings to buy furniture for two empty rooms. |
