| Beautifully faux painted walls
are highlighted with a subtle
stenciled border and make a rich surround for the unique European styled bed.
The custom made maple and steel night stands are Paula's design. Custom linen bedding
compliments the original art in this master bedroom. The 2010 ASID Showhouse was two condominiums in the Vidorra High-rise downtown. It was featured in the SPACES section of the San Antonio Express News on Sunday May 9, 2010 in an article titled High-Rise Living.

Four pieces of original art
add drama and quality to this master bedroom sitting area. The
large cactus oil painting is entitled "The Power of One" and is by
local artist Terry Jones. The ASID Showhouse was also featured in Design Guide for Austin-San Antonio in the 8th Edition in an article titled High Style. |
| This master
bathroom is also part of San Antonio's ASID 2010 Showhouse. Paula did
the both master bedrooms and master bathrooms. This simple
bathroom features a calming blue wall color and an original oil painting
of a marsh scene.

A faux painted Carrara marble
wall makes an elegant backdrop for the white leather bed. Three custom
lamps add warmth to the cool contemporary feel of this master
bedroom on the 12th floor of the Vidorra in downtown San Antonio.
Original photography over the bed is from Bismarck Studios.

| This weekend get-away loft is over an 1882 original German pioneer house in Fredericksburg, TX. The wood wall, cabinets and both night tables are made of the original longleaf pine taken out of this very room. The French armchairs are covered in hand silk screened bluebonnets on linen.
The loft was featured in the SPACES section of the San Antonio Express News on Sunday August 1, 2010 in an article titled Disaster & Potential. |

A window this lovely needs a simple treatment. We chose an antique lace tablecloth draped over the rod to avoid cutting it. There is a charm and satisfaction that comes from reusing fine, old things that were lovingly made by hand. The deerskin and elm wood bench is one of Paula's custom designs. |
| Beautiful plaster walls,
refinished oak floors, an original plaster mantle and 3 sets of French
doors made this room a joy to work with. It's the fourth house I've done for this client. An earlier one (also on the Monticello Park Home Tour but in 2006) is shown further down this page.
This comfortable 1920's home was featured in the SPACES section of the San Antonio Express News on Saturday April 11, 2010 in an article titled Gracious Elegance.

An all blue palette
runs throughout this cool mid-century home and makes a
wonderful background for the owners' art collection. The
unique fireplace was an original design by the architect
who built the home.
This modern Terrell Hills home was featured in the SPACES section of the San Antonio Express News on Saturday June 28, 2008 in an article titled Instant Attraction. |
| A wall of windows lets in light
and a view of the palm shaded back yard. Above the table
a custom designed and incredibly chic stainless steel
chandelier floats like a sliver of light. It gives
up-light, down-light and a glowing green edge that
reflects in the window glass.

This quaint guest room, so reminiscent of an 19th century French farm house, is actually located on a Hill Country ranch outside Fredericksburg. The charming pair of old European beds had to be lengthened to hold American mattresses. The custom spreads are a natural linen, chosen both for its texture and rustic elegance. The wonderful old portraits are of the owner's great grandparents. |
| This 'log cabin' guest room is adjacent to the room above; both have log and plaster walls and stone floors. Here, we widened a beautiful antique French bed so it could accept a queen size mattress. The tapestry, window lace and antique Oriental carpet make this a rather luxurious log cabin. | ![]() |

A very unusual piece of primitive fiber art anchors this rustic Spanish influenced den. Adding to the masculine, textured feel are several pieces of handmade pottery including a hand-thrown lamp base. The stone topped table is made by a local artisan. |
| This grand old
1930's home was beautifully restored with authentic cement plaster walls
and rich oak floors. We chose a quiet palette ranging from cream
to chocolate, to let the quality of the materials and workmanship shine
through. A few antique pieces and rugs enhanced the historic mood
of the house. The house was on the Monticello home tour one Sunday and sold the following week. It wasn't for sale, but a woman on the tour made an offer that the owner "just couldn't turn down". He moved two blocks down the street, and we got to help him with that one too.
This lovely Monticello home was featured in the SPACES section of the San Antonio Express News on Saturday April 22, 2006 in an article titled Another Grand. |
